Please read these terms carefully before using Receipt Converter. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By accessing or using Receipt Converter at receiptconverter.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the Service.
Receipt Converter is an AI-powered tool that converts receipt images and PDF documents into structured data formats including Excel, CSV, JSON, and PDF. The Service uses optical character recognition (OCR) and large language models to extract line items, totals, taxes, and other receipt data.
We offer the Service under tiered plans:
You may use basic features of the Service without an account (limited to 5 conversions per month by IP address). To access higher limits and features such as invoice history, you must create an account with a valid email address.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@receiptconverter.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree not to use the Service to:
By uploading files to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process those files solely for the purpose of providing the conversion service to you.
We do not sell your data. Uploaded receipt images are used only to extract structured data and are not shared with third parties beyond our AI processing pipeline (OpenAI). Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and store your information.
If you enable invoice storage in your dashboard, converted data is stored in our Supabase database associated with your account. You can delete your data at any time from your dashboard.
The Service, including its design, code, logo, and branding, is the property of Receipt Converter and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
You retain all rights to the files you upload and the exported data you download.
Receipt Converter uses AI models to extract data from receipts. While we strive for high accuracy, OCR and language model outputs are not guaranteed to be 100% correct. You should review all extracted data before relying on it for financial, tax, or accounting purposes.
We are not liable for any errors in extracted data or any decisions made based on that data.
Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Unused conversions do not roll over to the next month. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice to existing subscribers.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse of the Service, or for any other reason we deem appropriate. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any stored invoices associated with your account may be deleted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Receipt Converter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or errors in extracted receipt data.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
